The City of Kenosha’s “Lakefront Trolley” is now operating on a route from Carthage College on the city’s north side, through downtown and south to Kemper Center.
The Trolley operates from 1:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. December 23 is the last day of service for 2018.
The Trolley route passes several art galleries near the Union Park neighborhood. Other highlights on the route include the History Center, the Civil War Museum and the Kenosha Public Museum.
There are markers along the route, but people can also flag down the driver for pick up along the way. Fares are $1 for adults and $ .50 for children.
Carthage will provide free trolley tickets to Carthage students, faculty, and staff. (These tickets are to be handed to the trolley driver when you board.) Free trolley tickets are available at the Red Desk on the fourth floor of Lentz Hall and in the Todd Wehr Center tech office (located at the first left once inside the main TWC entrance).
